Acacia_senegal_leaf_morphology_Diatta_2021
Data for leaf morphology and isotope ratios of carbon an nitrogen published in Diatta et al. (2021) "Leaf morphology and stable isotope ratios of carbon and nitrogen in Acacia senegal (L.) Wild trees vary with climate at the geographic origin and ploidy level ". Trees Structure and Function. The study is based on leaves collected from A. senegal trees representing 16 populations across the species range, and grown in a common garden trial in Senegal. Nine leaf characters were measured (leaf length, leaf width, petiole length, number of pinnea, number of leaflets, pinnea length, pinnea width, leaflet length and leaflet width). The ploidy level (2n and 4n), total leaf nitrogen (Total.N), carbon isotope ratios (δ¹³C) and nitrogen isotope ratios (δ¹⁵N) were determined.
